Dr. Kimberly Harman is originally from western New York State. At fifteen year of age she was in a winter weather related automobile accident where she suffered from a whiplash injury. After seeing her medical doctor and being prescribed the typical muscle relaxants and pain relievers, she sought out chiropractic care. That was when she met and was so deeply influenced by Dr. Michael DeAngelo, DC of Batavia, New York. It was from that initial experience that she knew she was destined for chiropractic. “I thought that it was amazing that with only his hands giving the adjustment and the knowledge that he held, Dr. Mike was able to make such a difference in how I felt.”
Dr. Kim began her undergraduate in upstate New York receiving a Bachelors in Science. She completed her Doctor of Chiropractic from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While at Palmer College Dr. Harman was involved with many organizations. She was a Big Sister for the United Way , a religious education instructor, and a volleyball coach and referee for the USVBA. Dr. Harman even brought chiropractic care and humanitarian aid to the people of Kathmandu, Nepal as a member of the Palmer Chiropractic Clinic Abroad program in 2002.
Dr. Harman continues to be active in her chiropractic community as member of both the American Chiropractic Association and the Virginia Chiropractic Association since 2005. She is also a member of the USSA, and the NSCA.
Dr Harman has furthered her education by successfully completing the 120 hr course and examination as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. These credentials give Dr Harman extra knowledge in dealing with athletes of all ages and competition levels.
Dr. Kim has delivered through beautiful home births, four vibrant babies. “We are raising our children to be the epitome of the chiropractic and wellness lifestyle. It is amazing to watch these children- who have never had a droplet of medication and who have been adjusted when only days old, grow and develop in such a pure manner. Letting the body function without interference- what a beautiful idea.”
“My goal is to help people realize their potential through nutrition, exercise, a healthy lifestyle, and most of all CHIROPRACTIC. I feel blessed to be given this opportunity to work with so many wonderful people and in such a fulfilling way.”
